Tonight in Key West: Locos Por Juana!
Head on down to Key West’s iconic The GREEN PARROT bar to catch “Locos Por Juana,” the two-time Grammy nominated Afro-Caribbean funk band in town for only two nights! A trip to Key West would not be complete without stopping into the Green Parrot, and what better way to check this famous landmark off your list than by taking in a fabulous concert?
Special Memorial Day Offer!
We’ll set the scene for you: It’s Monday morning, you’re relaxing in your hotel room, and you realize what so many vacationers before you have also come to understand… you don’t want to leave.
While normally, the call of the real world might prove to strong too ignore, we feel that exceptions should be made on a holiday weekend. Especially one where you’re currently shacked up in paradise. So, as a special offer to our guests who’d like to extend their vacation a little longer, we’ve come up with a deal we feel might make the return to reality a little less painful. For this Memorial Day, any guest room may choose to depart our hotel on Monday morning a full seven hours later than they would normally need to– for only $100.00. That means that instead of your usual 11:00am checkout time, you’ll be able to sit back, relax, and enjoy the property (and your hotel room!) until 6:00pm that evening.
This offer is only valid for Monday, May 28th– so take advantage of it while it’s here! Ask your friendly front desk agent to arrange the details for you.
Happy Memorial Day Weekend!
Memorial Day Weekend
One of our favorite ways to spend Memorial Day Weekend is relaxing with family and friends over a BBQ. This classically American pastime is one we never get tired of, and it’s a great way to bring people together. Lest you think that you might have to sacrifice this tradition because your hotel rooms did not come equipped with a charcoal grill, take note: both Higgs Beach and Fort Zachary Taylor’s beach have ample picnic tables, public grills and shady areas to kick back and enjoy the breeze. So head on over to the grocery store, stock up on cold drinks and burgers, and spend the weekend grilling outdoors with your loved ones! It’s the perfect way to spend the holiday, in our opinion.
Reggae Moon-Splash Festival and Beach Party

THE SPAM ALLSTARS: Grammy winners as well, who play an eclectic mix of funky-groove-party-soul, with horns!
SUENALO!: Miami’s top party band, outrageously fun!
DJ LANCE-O: Jamaica’s finest.

11th Annual Yamaha Dolphin Masters Invitational
Weather Forecast, May 21-27th
This week’s weather continues its erratic run, with scattered thunderstorms predicted to break up the sunshine. Tuesday looks to be one of the wettest, with a 60% chance of precipitation all day. Thursday should be clearer, and might be the perfect day to steal away to one of Key West’s beaches for a few rays of sun. Going into the weekend the rain looks to be sticking around, with precipitation hovering at about 50%. This is a great week to take a few museum tours or even catch a haunted trolley ride through Old Town! When it’s especially wet, we love sneaking away to the Butterfly Conservatory, whose glassed-in aviary and greenhouse is the perfect refuge from stormy weather. Or else taking in a show at one of Key West’s various performance spaces — from classical theatre to drag show extravaganzas, there’s something to please everyone every night of the week.
