Reef Relief’s 25th Anniverary Party is March 31st!

Come celebrate 25 years of dedicated service to preserving & protecting our coral reef. Reef Relief, a nonprofit membership organization based here in Key West, FL, has been working tirelessly to improve public awareness of the importance and value of our precious coral reef eco-systems since 1987. On March 31st, from 6-10 p.m, the public is invited to celebrate Reef Relief’s hard work, with proceeds going to benefit future projects. The party will be held at Salute on the Beach, where special musical guest Howard Livingston and the Mile Marker 24 band will be on hand to provide hours of rollicking entertainment.

Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door.

Meet the Artists of Lucky Street Gallery

On March 29th from 6:00 to 8:00pm the public is invited to “ENCORE at Lucky Street,” a reception hosted by Lucky Street Gallery that will highlight many of this iconic Key West gallery’s incredible artists. Meet some of your favorites and hear them discuss their new works, with appearances by Rebecca Bennett, Claudia Richards, Helen Colley and more. New works from Michael Haykin, Michel delGado, Roberta Marks and Susan Sugar will be on display as well and are sure to delight and inspire. Head on down to 540 Greene Street and enjoy the music, snacks, wine, and of course– fabulous art!

A Once-in-a-Lifetime Classical Music Event!

This Friday, for the first time in a century, the Historic Armory’s Grand Hall (home to the Studios of Key West) will host “Vienna in Paradise — A Classical Concert Event.”

Join master musicians Herbert Weissberg, former principal flutist for the Vienna Symphony; Heinz Medjimorec of the Piano Haydn Trio; and Peter Siakala, cellist for the Vienna Symphony, as all three gentlemen make history in one of Key West’s most treasured heritage sites. This fabulous exhibition is sure to be a treasured memory for all in attendance.

This is the first time in 100 years that the Historic Armory’s Grand Hall will be used for a performance of this caliber. All ticket holders are invited to a sweet & savory champagne reception following the event, which begins promptly at 7:00pm on Friday, March 16th.

Florida Keys Eco Discovery Center hosts Free Environmental Film Series

Now through March 25th, the Florida Keys Eco Discovery Center will be screening Environmentally-themed documentary films every Sunday at 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm. Doors open at 1:00pm. Co-sponsored by the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary (NOAA), films will include those produced by National Geographic, PBS, Jean-Michel Cousteau Ocean Adventures and more. These family-friendly films are offered to the public at no charge.
