Parrot Key Resort Art and Sculpture
Experience Our Wonderful Art Collection
Parrot Key Resort distinguishes itself among South Florida hotels with an amazing collection of both regional and international art treasures. From the striking butterfly puppets that hang in Café Blue to the colorful garden sculptures, the art at Parrot Key captures the vibrant energy of the island and fuses it with the tropical setting of our Key West hotel.
Currently hanging in Parrot Key's lobby are the surrealistic exotic bird portraits of Philadelphia artist Treacy Ziegler, a large mixed medium mural entitled "musicians" by WPA muralist, Clifford West, and a stunning Sea Grasses painting by renowned Florida botanical artist, Lisa Remeny.
In the gardens surrounding the hotel, sculptures include the fantastical larger than life Stainless Steel work of John Martini, a longtime Key West resident with his studio and forge located in the Bahama Village neighborhood. At the front entrance to the hotel, a global presentation of humankind greets guests with joyful expressions created by artist Tadhakrisnanan from New Delhi, India who also cast the Indian Mythological characters around the pools.
Find yourself charmed by Gabriel Quirk's handmade puppets flying from the rafters at Parrot Key's Poolside Cafe Blue. These puppets have been used in numerous festivals and events in the Keys and feature wings that light at night.
While at Parrot Key, we hope you will wander through our lush gardens to discover the unique antiquities and architectural elements from around the globe.
The art collection at Parrot Key in Key West has been selected for its special vibrancy, matching the beauty of the Islands of the Keys. We hope you enjoy passing by them during your stay.
